The Administrative Systems Group is pleased to announce the SAP R/3 system will generally be available 24 hours a day effective September 8.

The new hours are made possible by the 4.6C upgrade, which provided the opportunity to optimize nightly batch processing and avoid conflicts with online system activity.

The change is being coordinated with the Employee Self-Service rollout so that personal data can be accessed after regular business hours.

There are a limited number of situations when SAP will be unavailable. These include scheduled Sunday morning system maintenance from 5 AM until 2 PM and month end financial report processing, typically from 7 PM until midnight on the last working evening of the month.

Any anticipated system down time will be communicated in advance.
