CSN News Information storage planning for the future
With demand for increased data storage in order to safely secure vital University information across
a very large computing environment, The University of Nebraska, Computing Services Network faced the challenge
of finding a cost-effective technology system that had a long asset life.
The IBM Magstar 3590 system met that challenge, supplying the University with new storage technology,
increased recording speed, and capability to provide manageable disaster backup and recovery.
It also continues to manage our existing storage while planning for cost-effective, future expansion.
